I was curious and had a look at similar contracts to mine in the US.

seems like the monthly rate is about the same..... except they want like 900 dollars up front where as my upfront was zero lol

Because you’re paying it all over 3 years.

We used to have those, and now they have different tiers of plans where you can pay less or more up front to lower the monthly cost. It’s stupid.

I wish Apple would bring the yearly upgrade plan here but Bell and Rogers would lose their minds.

sure but the monthly rate is still the same with the payments on the handset included, whereas the US rate is still $40 a month even after paying the cost of the handset up front.

if I had no handset and the same minutes and data it would be like £12-15
