Hey everybody. There's always variations of these every year on this site. The idea is to try to reach a consensus for who each team might pick would the fans of that team be in control.

We had one going about a month ago but unfortunately the user stopped polling teams. Rather than continuing his, I'm starting another mock draft, going team to team. Opinions may have changed from then till now anyway.

We have roughly 1 day!!! left until the draft, which means there will only be 24 hours to select each player. Obviously, we're only looking for the fans of each team to vote on their pick.

Kings fans you have the 29th pick

1. Florida Panthers D Aaron Ekblad 85.71%

2. Buffalo Sabres C Sam Reinhart 56.32%

3. Edmonton Oilers C Sam Bennett 63.06%

Funny story. Just finished my 2013-14 season in GM Mode. Everyone skipped Sam Bennett and grabbed him as NJ's 30th overall pick. (Also, Devils won the Stanley Cup)

Went Vrana. He seems to fit like a puzzle piece for what the Devils need in their system. That, and he's pretty highly thought of in the scouting community. (Craig Button: 23 | THN: 19 | ISS: 21 | hockeyprospect.com: 30 | McKeen's: 21 | NHL CS: 4 ES)

this seems silly to me. Vrana ranked 4th among Euros by CSS, not a single notable mock or ranking has him below Lemieux, McKenzie in particular has him ranked 19th and you guys pass? guess some people really want those family ties

I went with Vrana, but I wouldn't be disappointed with Lemieux either. I don't think Vrana will be there at #30 though.

Main reason I'm taking Lemieux is because picking at 30 I think Brendan is a safer bet of becoming the player people expect. Vrana might have a higher and more skillful ceiling but is a bit riskier.

We can't afford to waste picks so part of it is I really like Brendans game...and the other part of it is we really can't afford to swing and miss again

I really don't care how much skill you have when people say things like this about Vrana:

" He is under-sized, lacks strength and has a defensive game that is not yet up to snuff. "

We had a Vrana like that before.

I voted claudes son. If you want high risk high reward I go with Ho Sang at 30. Skill and scoring is a desperate need and I think and assuming he matures he can be a solid player.

I love his dad played with the devils. He was too edgy, and got into a lot of trouble with other teams, but not only was he a pain in the ass, he had a killer instinct in big games. He won a conn smythe with us and it was every bit deserved - he could have picked up a 2nd in 2000, as well and the scouts say brendan plays every bit like his dad. I'd love to have him.

I think that's the exact reason we have a dearth of quality skilled forwards. Gotta take risks every now and then, why I went with Vrana.

Vrana...with lucky, Lemieux is there for us at #41, otherwise at 41, D'Angelo, McGinnis, Kamanev, or Pollack. - or Donato (not on the list)

if Vrana falls to 30 you trade up your 41st and take both imo.
