select, from the Everett Silvertips of the WHL,
Riley Sutter!
2nd best (only to Cole Fonstad) evenstrength draft eligible scorer in the WHL. Sutter worked his way up to the top line in the playoffs and plays a defensively sound, abrasive, complimentary game. He has a nose for the net, sets up in front and bangs home goals from the dirty areas. The 2nd generation Sutter clan hasn't been productive, betting that Riley will buck that trend.
Best possible scenario, we get a Jake DeBrusk (with lesser skating) out of this. I wasn't too high on Jake DeBrusk till he made me a believer this season though... heh.
Since our last pick, we saw David Gustafsson go right after to
@Stud Muffin & the Oilers. Had given Gustafsson some thought at 70. I do think his skating can improve. The other player I had written down and was pretty much taking until Fonstad changed my mind was Aidan Dudas. I dunno why
@McDNicks17 can't use his own list, but its getting a little tiresome.
. I thought I might get lucky and Dudas would be here at 88th. Lastly,
@SpoolCat , I had an eye on Luka Burzan, I wouldn't have taken him this soon, but he's a player I could see the Oilers eyeing in the 5th round (or if we get a 4th back somewhere). I will admit that seeing his go this high may have had a hand in me taking Sutter a little higher than I would like (had Sutter written in pencil for this 101 pick coming up).

This can't be correct...
@The Head Crusher & the Predators get to make a pick!
