2 (57th) - Sampo Ranta - LW - 78 Colorado -21
3 (77th) - Ty Emberson - RD - 73 Arizona +4
4 (119th) - Curtis Douglas - C - 106 Dallas +13
6 (181st) - Wyatt Wylie - RD - 127 Flyers +54
7 (212th) - Jack Gorniak - C - 123 Montreal +89

Thought Ranta would go higher but seems as the later the draft went the better I did. Thank McJeesuz Montreal is so weak at Center....

Total +139.
None undrafted.

I’ll take it. Would have liked more picks so don’t know if that helped or hurt my score.

3 (89) - RW Kody Clark - CAN - 6'1" 180 lbs. - Ottawa - OHL [47th = +42]
4 (111) - D Declan Chisholm - CAN - 6'1" 185 lbs. - Peterborough - OHL [150th = -39]

7 (213) - RW Oliver True - DEN - 6'4" 193 lbs. - Ottawa - OHL [undrafted]

Total: +33 and 2 undrafted

Clark, Chisholm, and Gross were auto'd picks before I took over. I thought Gizatullin, Siikanen, Teasdale, Berglund and True might go undrafted and I thought I took Giles early but I'm shocked he didn't get drafted.

Apart from the above mentioned players, others I was surprised weren't drafted or thought might get drafted and whom I would invite to summer rookie camp: Vladislav Kotkov, Linus Nyman, Jack Jensen, Egor Sokolov, Libor Zabransky, Jackson Leppard, Ben Sanderson, Nando Eggenberger, Jan Sir and Henrik Malmstrom. I'm not surprised Davyd Barandun, Juraj Ovecka, and Daniel Lebedeff weren't drafted but I think there's potential there and would invite them as well.

Anyways, it's cool to see who NHL teams drafted. I'm interested in seeing how these players develop over the next several years and which players from this draft become impact players in the NHL.

1 - 24 - C - Jack Drury- Waterloo Black Hawks - USHL 42 -18
3 - 63 - RW - Bulat Shafigullin - Reaktor Nizhnekamsk - MHL 82 -19
3 - 86 - RW - Nando Eggenberger - HC Davos - NLA UNDRAFTED
3 - 91 - D - Jacob Ragnarsson - Almtuna IS - Allsvenskan 70 +21
5 - 148 - LW - Ryan Chyzowski - Medicine Hat Tigers - WHL UNDRAFTED
5 - 152 - C - Colin Schmidt - Wayzata High - USHS UNDRAFTED
6 - 179 - D - Cole Krygier - Lincoln Stars - USHL 201 -22
7 - 210 - G - Jett Alexander - North York Rangers - OJHL UNDRAFTED

-38 and 4 undrafted prospects.....will wait 15 years and circle back here. I had Eggenberger at 62 and Chyzowski at 69 on my final rankings. Can't believe they went undrafted. Not surprised about Schmidt or Alexander...they played in lesser leagues and are long shots at their draft positions. I knew Drury was a stretch from the moment I picked him based on consensus, but I really believe in the player, and he is one of those guys who likes to prove his doubters wrong.

2 - 53 - C - Philipp Kurashev - Quebec Remparts - QMJHL 120 -67
3 - 64 - RW - Niklas Nordgren - HIFK - Liiga 74 -10
5 - 129 - G - Jacob Ingham - Mississauga Steelheads - OHL 175 -46
5 - 146 - D - Toni Utunen - Tappara - Liiga 130 +16
6 - 177 - D - Alexander S. Romanov - Krasnaya Armiya Moskva - MHL 38 +139
7 - 208 - C - Nathan Smith - Cedar Rapids Rough Riders - USHL 91 +117

+149 I differed quite a bit on some of the top picks, but nailed the last 2 in terms of value. Again, can't wait to look back 15 years from now and see if we outdraft the professionals.....of course they get the benefit of putting their players through their developmental system, they get access to all of these players and their coaches, and do it as a paid full time job, so they should do better than us, but I guarantee a few of the people on here will do a better job than some of the pros.

1st Round, 12th overall - LD Ty Smith, L, 5'10, 170lbs, Spokane Chiefs, WHL----Actual: 17th overall (-5) to NJ
2nd Round, 41st overall - F Filip Hallander, L, 6'1, 185lbs, Timra IK, Allsvenskan----Actual: 58th overall (-17) to PIT
2nd Round, 43rd overall - F Jake Wise, L, 5'10, 190lbs, USNDTP----Actual: 69th overall (-26) to CHI
3rd Round, 72nd overall - G Jakub Skarek, 6'3, 196lbs, HC Dukla, Czech2----Actual: 72nd overall (BINGO) to NYI
4th Round, 103rd overall - F Riley Stotts, L, 6'0, 174lbs, Calgary Hitmen, WHL----Actual: 83rd overall (+20) to TOR
5th Round, 134th overall - RD Dennis Busby, R, 5'11, 187lbs, Flint Firebirds, OHL----Actual: 145th overall to ARI
7th Round, 196th overall - F Matthew Struthers, L, 6'2, 192lbs, North Bay Battalion, OHL----Undrafted

Final score: -31 with one undrafted and one bingo. Really surprised no one took a flyer on Struthers, but certainly not the most surprising. Samuelsson and Eggenberger...wow.

Compared to the actual Isles draft, I don't think I stood a chance considering how the first few rounds unfolded. Isles went consensus for their first three picks so Wahlstrom, Dobson and Wilde look a little more promising than Farabee, Smith and Hallander considering many scouts had all three of their choices in their top 15-20. But the rest of the draft...I'd have to say I like my selections a bit better....Iskhakov, Skarek, Pivonka, Jenkins and Cole Krygier. Hmmm.

No bingos, but none went undrafted. Obviously drafted a bit better for WSH it would appear. Weatherby going that early was surprising especially.

Thanks again for a great mock everyone!

I think +192 might take it. That’s a hell of a score haha.

I think that’s 3 bingos, Zaddy, BNL, and Reginald.

Yikes, hahaha, not my best year.

Draft +1ish.

Most of my picks are running in place. We discuss Dobson alot RE: Bouchard. Adore my Denisenko pick mostly cause he was on my WJC draft team and I enjoyed the Denisengoals. Wasnt a big fan of the Woo pick when I made it but his offense came through in a big way this year.

---

The 2019 Draft Lottery is in less than a week, but I think we'll wait for the 1st round of the playoffs to finish up so we have a more accurate draft order before we start this edition of the mock draft.

Denisenko was a home-run pick at 26.

I like how I did, Kotkaniemi is obviously a total stud for the habs and the others seem to be doing good as well
