LA (Paralyzer008) is camping and won't be on his computer all weekend so he asked me to make his pick for him. He gave me a few names. He is up after Edmonton here. Just running it by the gang here.

Edmonton is pleased to select overage RHC Drake Rymsha from the OHL's Sarnia Sting.

Rymsha had a very strong year, scoring 35 goals for the Sting (good for 15th in the OHL) 21 of which were at even strength, while improving on nearly every other aspect of his game.

In particular he had a great back half of the season and rocketed up many draft rankings. He's got NHL size at 6'0, 190lb.

Rymsha does a lot of little things well as well. He took over 1300 faceoffs this past season, winning over 58% of them. He also has quite a late birthday for his draft class, missing being eligible for the 2017 draft by only six weeks. His skating still needs work, but it's not bad by any means.

I think Rymsha is a strong candidate to see NHL time by virtue of his well developed two way game and faceoff ability.

22: Kailer Yamamoto (C/RW)
82: Maxim Zhukov (G)
84: Reilly Walsh (RD)
115: Drake Rymsha (RC)

You're up Mozes!

Improving Q player who displays excellent feet, leadership, and puck skills. Not very tall or thick at this point. Continues to grow his game and strength, with a considerable improvement on the strength of his release and puckhandling. Plays fast. Attended the 2016 Montreal Canadiens development camp.

Since I don't have a pick this round ill just give a long island shout out to Texier, Rodionychev and Fortier.

I had those guys in the 2nd/early 3rd for some reason. I gots three other guys falling back too.

Of course my rankings are a slimshod amalgum of other lists and lack any semblance of credibility.

So apparently my 4th pick came in at 5'11 (instead of 6'1) at the combine, did one bench press rep and no pull-ups. Room to grow!

:leafs select, from the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League, defenceman Jacob Paquette

I was deciding between Lindstrom, Paquette, and another player. I think Paquette's got more offense to show. Kingston doesn't score a lot and that doesn't help the counting numbers.

Great pick. Probably the defender with the most poise in the draft. Hangs in there and takes a hit to make the play like a true pro. If he finds any kind of offensive game, which there seems to be some untapped potential there, he will be the steal of the draft this late.

Taking 7 hours to pick just to swoop in and grab the guy I was going to pick is just the worst kind of rude. nicely done. Lot of upside in Toropchenko.

Not home at the moment, need to check my lists.

Edmonton selects dynamic Russian C/W Pavel Shen.

PPG in the MHL definitely caught my attention and has acquitted himself quite well internationally as well. Like that he plays a feisty style and isn't afraid to mix it up.

I've seen him listed everywhere from 5'7 to 6'1 so I guess we'll see.

This is a boom-bust pick, but the type of risk I'm comfortable with in the 5th round.

22: C/W Kailer Yamamoto
82: G Maxim Zhukov
84: RD Reilly Walsh
115: C Drake Rymsha
126: C/W Pavel Shen
