@amnesiac you should keep this going to 100. Or 75 at the minimum.

This is the best poll series run annually. We are on hockey’s future board after all. This is the one I follow and participate in the closest.

Keep it running lad. I’m sure others agree.

Some really good prospects won’t crack the top 50, and it’s always fun to learn more about other teams up and coming players when you get past the 50 range.

75-100 would take us to right around WJC and after or to the beginning of next season.

Heinola is so overdue at this point. Constantly at 59% corsi in Liiga since he was drafted, and 0+12 in 15 games this season. Quite surprisingly, he also leads 2019 draftees in NHL points per game with 1+4 in 8gp

Definitely interesting that Amirov just went even though guys like Mercer, Guhle, and Holloway were pretty consistently ranked above him going into the draft if I am not mistaken

I would replace Tyler Benson with Dmitri Samorukov on your to-add list.

Benson's talented but his skating + size combo will likely hold him back from becoming a top-9 player.

Samorukov's doing extremely well in the KHL right now, he can hit like a truck and he's solid at both sides of the rink. He's pretty unanimously considered our 4th best prospect on HFOIL.

(Definitely add Reichel though, he deserves to go in the 40-50 range)

his draft year and draft + 1 year are better than Denisenko's, so it's pretty reasonable to have him in the same sort of range
comparing KHL stats at age 18-19 is useless... youre talking about a league where Nigel Dawes is top 5 in scoring every year.

Denisenko shoudve gone higher, hes top 20 on almost every list Ive seen (not including 2020 picks). Nothing against Amirov, but hes was ranked around 15-20th pre draft.

so you want to just base these rankings on other rankings you've seen and ignore their play?
Nothing against Amirov, but hes was ranked around 15-20th pre draft. Amirov, Mercer, Zary, Holloway, Guhle, Lapierre are all interchangeable.

the KHL is too difficult a league to judge young players, imo... you can be a Kuznetsov/Panarin or you can be a Nikita Filatov/Shipashyov.

This. Samorukov is universally as our 4th best prospect.

His KHL performance thus far for the legendary CSKA team (the old Soviet Red Army team) is pretty impressive. I know they’ve had some roster turnover recently giving him this opportunity, but he’s still making the most of it.

26-2-6-8 and +20 are damn good boxcars for a young D man in the KHL.
