Yeah so Couturier in 2 career years has what, 5 more pts than Backstrom in 2 down years? Good player but doesn't belong in this spot. But to be fair neither did Eichel or Point so idk.

nobody is saying there can never be exceptions, but people aren't crazy to pick the 26 (27 in December) year old who was better than a guy who's turning 32. Even if you want to give Kopitar the benefit of the doubt and predict he'll bounce back, Couturier is still a good pick provided he doesn't regress

My main point was about people overlooking Kopitar because of a bad season. Couturier was quoted in that post, but my point was more a general statement on people completely overlooking Kopitar because of a bad year.
