With the third overall selection in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection, the Peterborough Petes are proud to select Ethan Belchetz from the Oakville Rangers

With 4th pick Niagara icedogs select Brady Smith of north York rangers

The mock draft would be far more accurate if the pick was taking a little more seriously. The first three GM did.

Did you want to at least make a serious pick at 4. It is a top 4 franchise type pick. Perhaps, consider someone ranked in the top 6 at least so the rest of draft can remain interesting?

Or is there another IceDogs fan wanting to make a proper pick at 4?

There's a chance Smith ends up an Ice Dog if Wassilyn is taken in the top 3, which he was.

Why the need to change someones pick in what was supposed to be a fun exercise. Jeez.

Exactly.

Brady Smith has rankings of #22, #15, #22, #6, #24 and #19 from various sources. Do you think that warrants a top 4 pick?

It just a shot at the IceDogs because their HS is also the NY Rangers Manager of Hockey Operations. The fact that he's the MHO does not mean they are going to pass on top 4 player to draft a player out his organization. If you’ve seen him play, you would agree he not a top 4 nor a player Ben Boudreau would draft.

It supposed to be fun not to make fun of (the IceDogs situation). That's why.

That's who I think they would draft. If it was me I would want Zac Nyman and report

Then perhaps ask the poster (an Ice Dogs fan), why he made the pick, instead of just changing it to suit whatever view point you have specifically.

If consensus if what you were going for, why not just post your mock draft.

I did try and ask, but I didn't hear back and I couldn't pause the draft to wait for a reply as picks are coming in. So I placed a "best player available" with a player that fits the playing style the IceDogs coaching staff has been trying to establish as their identity. D - Zach Nyman is actually who they should draft but with a "verbal agreement" to the BCHL that most likely means a no show for the IceDogs.

I don't want consensus I want fan bases to make good picks on the preference and/or needs of their specific team not picks based on who their HS is associated with.
