Are they though? They have a great offense but they're pretty porous on D. This game could easily be 5-5 if the Nucks got the same bounces as NJ.

Yeah Canucks had some chances which they should have scored on. Especially the Boeser half empty net. They need to shoot more and go for the rebounds. They are too premieter against this goalie and not shooting enough

Yes, the goaltending has been horrendous. NJ needs to score 4 goals a game to guarantee a victory.

Problem is Canucks don't shoot enough to capitalize on that bad goaltending. They keep trying for a perfect pass or shooting for a corner and missing the net. Should have peppered NJ with shots and go for rebounds

They are a bubble teams/surprise and win a round team. Nothing more

Why is NJ so low in standings? Their goalie sucks that bad?? They are the toughest team Canucks have faced this year aside from Vegas and Avs.

As a Devils fan I would say

1. Vanecek isn't playing like his last year self, He had a terrible playoffs and maybe that really destroyed him. Schmid saved the playoffs for us and we thought he was ready to take the next step but sadly it hasn't happened.

2. We Lost Severson who was a Veteran defender and lots of Devils fans didn't know how good he was until after he left. The Devils also lost Graves who was a steady no gaffe 3rd/2nd pairing defenseman. Bahl is basically a rookie defenseman and Luke Hughes is a rookie so its a bit of a learning process, Adding Nemec is making it even more scarier but so far Nemec seems the more ready and well rounded defenseman. Luke Hughes has an amazing skillset but needs to round out part of his game.

14/15 wins have been against either bottom teams or teams really really struggling. They took advantage so credit to them
