They have 4 or 5 very good players.
LMFAOOO

Yes. Most good teams have 4-6 very good players, and then you supplement them with players who can keep up, thats why they are good and thats why if you take away 5-6 very good players, they won’t be good. Just like, you know, any other good team. Take away Hedman, Kucherov, Point, Vasi, Stamkos, they ain’t very good anymore.

Incredible insight, Boss Man, incredible.

GG TBL :\ wish the calls were closer to even, but DAL has been putting themselves on the pk with a frequency. Loser point SECURED.

A loss is probably what we deserve for me scaring the shit out of my dog when Faksa scored shorthanded

One of the NY teams, probably. Carolina finds a goalie they could
Only the Rangers have a chance and they are going to have to improve a lot.

Very true. The POINT is the rest of the team is nothing special.

Despite the early hot starts by Buffalo/Detroit/Ottawa, the top 4 in the Atlantic is BOS/TOR/FL/TB again.

If Detroit and Buffalo continue struggling, they might run away with it again.

You take away the best 5-6 players from the top teams and they are not a top team anymore? No shit, same goes for every f***ing team.

Holy shit, one of the dumbest posts I’ve read on here in over a decade. Well done, Boss Man, what an intellectual.

Detroit has a few injuries I believe. Buffalo and Ottawa don't have that excuse although Norris was a big loss.

Detroit still has a winning record unlike Ottawa and Buffalo, getting Bertuzzi back tonight, and still missing some key forwards. They've also played fewer games than most of the teams ahead of them.

NYI has been to the semis a couple of times and look like they’ll be back in the playoffs after a hard luck season a year ago. I wouldn’t be surprised if they made it all the way to the SCF, despite Trotz being let go.

And yet it seems like it’s the weakest division.

At best Detroit can tie the teams ahead of them if they win all their games in hand. They have the worst goal differential of all the Atlantic teams though, yes it's worse than Buffalo/Ottawa/Montreal (even including Montreal's 5-1 loss today).

Just an FYI

Playing the "trap" is when no opposition player attacks the puck carrier and are instead standing in the neatral zone waiting for the puck carrier to attack.

If one or more players are attacking the puck carrier in his own zone then you cannot call that the trap.

I didn't say they'd make the playoffs, I said they have a winning record unlike the other teams mentioned. Also their goal differential comes down to a few blowout games where they lost composure late in the third. Still a very different situation than Ottawa and Buffalo who are just playing bad.

That’s… not accurate.
