Yeah, Poms got crosschecked, or at the very least, hit from behind and it knocked him directly into Niemi. If you watch it from a few angles you’ll see that it was tricky for him to even get up and back into position, so I don’t think he expected it.

It’s a legit no call on the interference. Unfortunate for Niemi, but still...

ovechkin is pretty underrated at tips/deflections

He is ok, but I don't think I've seen him score more than 5 backhanders in his entire career. Although he does have one of the greatest goals of all time and he scored it on the "backhand".
