The Sharks broadcast is just ****ing clueless with Tampa's players tonight. Do they usually get names wrong this much?
To be fair Tampa is the only team with this many good players, you actually have to know everyone on the roster.

I thought Edmonton spent their timeout earlier this game. How did they challenge that goal?

Lmao serious. Why challenge now?

Hitchcock challenging a 5-0 goal

Edmonton challenging the last goal scored with 1:08 left on the clock. Refs rule it was off side. Score now 4-0

Challenge is surprising at this stage but might as well i suppose.

Hitchcock. Lmao. Sweet challenge bro.

It was a review by the league. The Oilers did not have a timeout left to challenge a goal.

Oilers finished with 16 SOG. Just brutal. Should be really fresh for tomorrow nights game against the Ducks

GREAT question.

There was more than a minute left in the game?

They said it on the broadcast.

The Oilers did not have a time out left, so it wasn't an Oilers challenge.

38.1 General Duties – The following are the general duties of the Video Goal Judge:
(i) He will review replays of disputed goals when requested to do so by the Referees.
(ii) He will review replays of disputed goals when he observes an incident that was undetected by on-ice officials.
(iii) After viewing the incident he will promptly convey his decision directly to the Referee at the penalty bench. When a play has been referred to the Video Goal Judge, his decision shall be final.
(iv) During the review he may consult with a member of the League’s Hockey Operations or Officiating department staff if latter is in attendance at the game (or via telephone).
(v) Any potential goal requiring video review must be reviewed prior to or during the next stoppage of play. No goal may be awarded (or disallowed) as a result of video review once the puck has been dropped and play has resumed.

They looked like a team that has basically bailed on their coach and bailed on McDavid. The effort level and response tonight was terrible. That's not going to be fixed by tomorrow. This is a team that's waiting for the shoe to drop.

I'm betting that Hitch is starting to regret taking this job.

Everyone's always talking about the Oilers, meanwhile the Sabres and Avs have both dropped to Wildcard spots.
Despite their recent struggles they're still exceeding most peoples expectations this season. That tends to cut you some slack.

The arena announcer said EDM was challenging the offsides., so it wasn't from Toronto, yet they still reviewed it [without a timeout] and overturned the goal. Weird.

Lol where's that guy who said "no one is afraid of playing the sharks" at tonight? Not like they're giving it to the best team in the league or anything. But Yea, they're trash and teams are lining up to play them.
