Something went majorly wrong on your defense if you have a guy wide open at the point and in front of the net at the same exact time.

So 5 guys were along the outside of the ice. That’s just bad defense.

That’s actually trying to let up a goal in my book.

Well, it doesn't matter how good your team is, teams will break down defensively in a 60 minute game. The average team will allow 30 shots a game, and an NHL goalie is expected to stop at least 27 of them, some of them being high danger changes.
