We arent playing too well right now either. However we are escaping with wins. I think our D and goaltending have been playing well, we just arent skating hard enough. It is January. Guys had a strong first half. Probably putting in less of effort to save energy for playoffs. I wouldnt put too much into this game for either team today. Playoffs are where we will see the real teams.

Probably sincere. A lot of athletes don't follow sports media so may seem like there isn't. Plus he's been Toronto's best player since the start of last year's playoffs at least.

Probably sincere. I live in Pittsburgh and we get basically no Canadian influence in our hockey news and hockey is barely even covered in sports media.

I couldn’t even guess how little hockey is covered in the state of Florida. I would say not many people care about it to begin with down there.

Very possible. If Mitch Marner doesn’t posses the skills to at times embarrass even the best defensemen in the league, then hardly no one does.

I’m not suggesting Hedman was complimenting Marner to cover his ass, just suggesting that Marner embarrassing Hedman isn’t out of the question or some absurd suggestion.
