Despite everyone saying all year and every year "Lol @ Toronto goaltending" and "Lol @ Toronto defense", their goaltending and defense has never been the reason they have lost.

It has always been their secondary scoring.

Every year, if you scroll the boxscores, they never get any help from their secondary scoring or depth.

I expect this to change this year with Domi, Bertuzzi, Robertson, etc. all heating up recently.
Been hearing the same thing for years and years.

Do you have actual stats to back up your statements?

Since when has that mattered anything lol. Last year the Bruins had the better team on paper than Florida yet they choked.
The Bruins were paper tigers last year. And this year.

Expecting two senior citizens (Bergeron and Krejci) to be #1 C and #2 C was a sign that they weren't as good on paper as everyone thought.

Literally just have to look at the series vs. Florida last year. Couldn't score in Game 7 vs. Tampa in 2022 etc.

You talking about past postseasons? I'd say the biggest issue is their Superstar Forwards never go OFF the way they need them to based on cap structure and what those guys do in regular season. 22 goals in 50 career playoff games, you need more out of Mr. 70 Goals from Matthews.

Go look at boxscores to see the stats.

In 2022, who else was scoring other than their Core 4 + Rielly?

In 2023, who else was scoring other than their Core 4 + Rielly + O'Reilly?

Getting nothing from their secondary scoring has been the reason they have lost.

agreed. that goal should've counted. replay should've overruled quick whistle

That’s not a thing. The only way it could have been a goal is if it went in untouched after the whistle, but it hit a flyer on the way in. No viable way to call that a goal.

Crosby is a senior citizen. He not good enough? Both of those are better than Tavares was even last year.

I'm looking at stats...your GAA was 3.18 last year and a -2 in goals

2022 - 3.22 and a -1 goal diff

I'm going to disagree. Granted that's only 3 whole rounds so a very small sample size. Good luck.
