I didn’t know it. I’m just reporting what the Play-by-play guy said on TV.

Was it this preseason or last preseason when refs called a whole boatload of the faceoff violations to get players’ attention prior to roll-out of new rule?

Doesn’t get called much during actual season, that’s for sure.
