Brouwer hasn't done anything to earn a second of ice time yet, Trotz continues to use him in key situations. We need a goal, Brouwer to the rescue.

I'd like to know Barry's thought process when it comes to choosing who comes on the ice late in the game. Awful decision making. Too much 4th line in the first two periods, not enough Ovi and Kuzy.

A Presidents Trophy team when they don't have the ice tilted and have to act like little *****es and fake calls/etc should be ashamed of themselves. **** this overrated Rangers team. It's not hard to win when you have a 6v5 or 6v4 at all times - since obviously the refs are on their side.

Good: Ovie is playing like a mad man
Good: We fought back and were the better team for a large portion of that game.

Made them work for it...Rangers are not world beaters by any means...gotta bury are chances even if it is Lundqvist...Niskanen ouch...gotta play better.

Defensively it's the worst game they've played in the playoffs. Simply cannot afford to give up that many grade A chances and expect to win. Holtby and a bit of luck kept them in it, but they need to be better defensively, especially in transition. Niskanen, in particular, was brutal. Bad coverage, bad turnovers, and missed opportunities in the offensive zone that led to chances going the other way.

Ovechkin and Kuznetsov are holding this team together offensively, right now. Didn't get much from Backstrom or Johansson today. Green had a great game.

4th line was on with 2 minutes left...didnt get that.

Green is actually an effective offensive defenseman. Yandle is only effective when he's faking calls,

The entire Rangers team is playing decent. That's good for them.

The top players for the Caps are playing great though (Holtby, Ovi, Kuzy, Green, and Backstrom).

Eventually we'll get some secondary help. Once that happens - Caps will easily beat this team. The bottom 6 for this Caps team will have a game or two this series where they add SOME sort of production...
