Montreal should be all over this
Lehkonen for Fleury comes to mind right off the bat

Montreal needs LHD. They have Cale in the system already. They have surplus forward depth.
It definitely makes a lot of sense for Montreal, but I'd want to hear from Carolina fans (or preferably quotes from Hurricane beat reporters) as to what the plan may be.

I'd scrap the whole deal or try to build it around someone else if Lehkonen needs a good-size add (or much of an add anyways).
a young, middle-six, two-way winger with good underlying numbers should not need a significant add (or any add really) to a a D-man who is only a year younger, has yet to establish himself in the NHL (albeit on a team with a ton of good D depth), needs to clear waivers to go to the AHL and doesn't really project as point producer.
Comrie makes no sense. We have a similar prospect the same age who just won ahl goalie of the year in Alex Nedeljkovic. They must not have put much thought into that offer.
His stats for a d+4 season aren't that impressive though with dmen you have to give them time.
im sorry, but BOTH Fleury are not 3rd pairing....Cause Montreal has his brother ? Montreal already has their 3rd pairing LD in Kulak.
Agreed, the exact type of player the Canucks should be looking at. Fits a need and core age group. Unfortunately the Nucks don't have extra assets so the price would need to be right.Interested from Canucks POV for sure. He’s got good size, does he use it all? What’s expectations on acquisition price?
Mike Reilly for Fleury.
Goldobin? Probably not enough. I wonder if one of the more recent 2nd rounders we drafted like Gadjovich or Lind would be of interest, more team control over contract and an extra year of waiver exemption?Agreed, the exact type of player the Canucks should be looking at. If TVR starts the year on IR that would buy the Canes time. Hamilton, Pesce, Faulk if not traded, Slavin, CDH, Fleury, Bean can be their 7 guys on opening night. Worry about TVR when he comes off IR.Carolina is going to lose him on waivers unless Faulk's dealt which isn't their plan.
They could deal TVR, but he's out for 6 months with shoulder surgery.
If it looks like Fleury is going to become a waiver issue this season, but given his high draft pedigree I could see some GM paying a premium. I would be fine with Goldy and Gadjovich for Fleury and a small + - I would like to see if Lind can put it together and become the Doan type player he was projected to be in his draft year.Goldobin?
