Eh, I'm in the opposite camp. I'd suggest replacing the logo on it with their secondary logo:

... and instead of having stripes on their shoulders just have those be entirely white.

I think we can safely assume that our's will be white (almost a given beforehand, though), as red's obviously a no go and I think that their dark red and us potentially in black would probably clash a tad too much.

Early 60s...? That's pretty much what we've already got though, minus the tan outline and slightly different sleeves.

Unless you mean early 50s, which is what I've actually been hoping for.
