We have too many LD in NHL/AHL pipeline

Has to be trade in works, right?

Not a fan of Johnson though in recent years he looked better as defender

No real downside here and if he does well maybe we can flip him for mid round pick at TDL

Said it back in July on one of the free agency threads that they'd probably bring in a vet like Jack Johnson.

I like the signing. He logged a lot of minutes last season and just won a Cup. He's gonna bring a good mentality to the locker room which they'll need in the face of many losses.

And most importantly, Jack Johnson is a quality mentor for Ian Mitchell.

Probably a bad omen for Stillman, since Davidson and Richardson have little incentive to play him if he doesn't perform.

From first to last, he is going to be a trivia question in the future.

Not a big fan of the move unless another trade goes down involving a dman but he’ll allow younger guys not to be rushed/ also makes sense to have a veteran be the scratch if Mitchell/Regula make the roster.

I really don't see the point of this unless they are simply giving these young D more time to develop at Rockford.....and it would be nice to see 1 youngan in the lineup every game. In our efforts to get faster, there might be a Murphy or McCabe trade looming----my guess is Murphy.
