Has anyone given away more talent than Ottawa in the last 5 years?

Lucic - Seguin - R. Smith
Eriksson - Soderberg - B. Connolly
Vatrano - Spooner - Stafford
Hayes - Moore - Jagr

Irwin - D.Hamilton
J. Morrow - Boychuk
Bartkowski - C. Miller

Not awful, there’s a lot of value there, the RD is ridiculously strong.

Boston might be the right answer but people (not you) are acting like the Bruins could have kept these players and remained under the cap.

Lucic, Eriksson, Soderberg, Jagr, Hamilton, and Boychuk left for salary cap reasons that Chia caused.

The only ones I'm not happy about that are on your list are Seguin, Boychuk, and the Bruins not getting anything for Eriksson.

Because I'm bored...since the date OP provided (March 2013), this is what I came up with for the Devils. You could argue the Devils have lost the least amount of talent since 2013

Note: Per OP's rules this does not include players who retired (Kovalchuk)...only players lost to trades, free agency or expansion draft

Cammalleri - Henrique - Jagr
Havlat - Kerfoot - Blandisi
Boucher - Gomez - Stempniak
R. Carter - Josefson - Smith-Pelly

Ex. S. Gionta, Parenteau, Bennett, Matteau

Larsson - Merrill
Gelinas - Zidlicky
Schlemko - Volchenkov

Ex. Rykov, Fayne

Columbus lost immense value at forward, but do a relatively good job holding on to their quality D.

You're double dipping since for example the Senators only had Brassard because they gave Zib away, or Chiasson because they gave Spezza away, and so on.
