Just wondering.
Will the Oilers wait until the rustling masses calm a bit, or will they have something tomorrow?

Why would anyone want to listen to what they have to say anyway?

They should announce the firing of Lowe any day now.
Visual improvement, even our biggest critics couldn't argue against it even though we have less points than last year.
Next year should see a small improvement, hopefully "in the mix" for a playoff spot.
Lots of picks going into the draft to make roster upgrades.
Expect a big jump in the standings in the new arena when guys like Nurse/Drai/2015 #3 or #4 pick are ready to contribute.
Klef has potential as a 1st pairing D, very excited.
Waiting to see coaching landscape in the summer.
Nelson is good, but doesn't mean Eakins was bad.
We are all accountable.
I live this every day, no one is more angry about losing than me.
Katz is super duper mad, trust me, so mad.
I think you missed the one about "Schultz visually won the Norris Trophy in the minds of the Oilers management."
MacT: "I think we can all agree that for a variety of reasons, some out of our control this past season was a disappointment. However with some of the moves we made as the season moved along we are very confident that the worst is behind us. We saw a lot of improvement in many areas but we still have work to do."
Stauffer:
"Craig, we saw another good year from Ebs and Yakupov really took some steps forward as did Klefbom. Do you think the injuries to Taylor Hall and some of your defenseman perhaps played a part in the final standings?"
MacT: "Well we never like to use injuries as an excuse but I don't see how you could not think that they do play a part. When you lose your top scorer for a good part of the year that is tough to overcome. We did see marked improvement in many players this year, I think you could add Anton Lander to that list as well as Justin towards the 2nd half of the year."
Spector: "What can you say to the fans that have been through these many years of, to be honest failure? The organization keeps preaching patience and yet the results never seem to come."
MacT: "We feel the same pain as the fans do, believe me no one wants this thing to turn around quicker than we do but it takes time. We feel it would be the absolute worst thing to make panic moves with our young core at this time."
Stauffer:
"Craig, with the team having multiple picks in each round and that valuable extra 1st rounder do you see this as a pivotal draft for the team?"
MacT: "Oh there is no question about that. We made some moves this season to acquire more picks, this is a very deep draft and we feel we will be able to address a number of future needs this off season."
Mackinnon: "So you are telling fans that players you draft this year who will not be ready to contribute for 4 or 5 years are something to hang their hats on? To be honest it sounds like you are preaching a rebuild of the rebuild. How should your fans react to that?"
MacT: "We are not saying that in the least. We have a solid core who will get better next year and the year after that. The negativity of some will not deter us from our goal of building this team the proper way so that the team and fans never have to go rough a stretch like this again."
Stauffer:
"Craig the signing of Benoit Pouiliot was most agree an excellent off season signing. Do you foresee him having a quality season next year?"
MacT: "Yes, we were very happy with Benoits play and I see no reason he won't have as good if not a better year next year. He gives us the ability to have two scoring lines. We are gld we have him locked up for four more years."
Terry Jones: "Goaltending seemed to once again really let the team down this year. What kind of solution do you have to present to the fans in this regard Craig?"
MacT: "I wouldn't say that, both goalies did have a few rough patches but it was far from only their fault and I'm not about to go throwing anyone under the bus despite the fact that some would like me to. Like all positions we will evaluate things in detail this off season. We did really like what we saw out of Laurent Broissiot and Richard Bachman."
Stauffer:
"Some of us have seen the true areas of improvement on this team and can see that they are not far off from winning those one goal games instead of losing them. What would you say to the fans in that regard?"
MacT "Exactly, we have not had the results the last two years but have improved in most major areas such as puck possession which are a core of successful teams. A break here or there and a healthy team and we feel we could challenge for the playoffs next year. Thank you all for coming, I apologize for cutting this session short but we as an organization have to roll up our sleeves and have plenty of work to do to prepare for the draft.
