Why do we get rid of winners like Krug, Cassidy, Hall... just to coddle our average middle of the roster players.

Hall was not overpaid. Embarrassing return.

While I agree with the sentiment, I think most everyone around the league would laugh at Taylor Hall and "winner" being in the same sentence, unless the word lottery is in between them.

Hawks fan here. Mitchell you will not enjoy. Soft and just meh at anything. Disappeared for long stretches. Regula is better but we need RHD and didn’t keep him so who knows. He was decent when he played with us for a rookie. Seems like a cap dump for you guys to make a trade before July 1.

Don't be mad at Sweeney for this, he gave them absolutely everything they could've wanted to make a run last year. Be mad at Linus Ullmark and Jim Montgomery for ruining their one and only shot at greatness.

Heart and soul guy. Always that top skating effort even while he was hurt. Didn't complain when he's stapled with Frederic instead of Pasta.

This bothers me.

You can't keep every guy.. sucks that he's gone but they need cap space more than him right now unfortunately.

Unreal...not one team in the league wanted Hall in exchange for 1st/2nd round pick? Weird! GMs wanting to see DW squirm? Retaining Hall for 2 years and dealing him trade deadlines (2023 or 2024) would not have yielded a decent player or draft pick?

Not going to comment on how good/bad of a move this is as I'm sure it's the first in many that will be made. The overall is where I'll judge.

Emotionally however, I hate it. I loved Hall here and was really hoping he would have been a part of things going forward.

Are we really upset about Hall going? This move was called in season. Add in the total and complete failure of this season and nobody should be safe. Hall is an obvious piece to move when you’re this tight against the cap

Can’t agree when you’re moving a piece who has value in Hall. He had more value than a couple bottom pairing defenseman.

Chicago can probably pump Halls #s giving him #1 priority in offensive situations, retain 50% at the deadline and get a hell of a return.
