Calgary says no.

Brown seems to be in a perfect situation for himself. Hard to tell if he would play as well outside of Ottawa over the long course.

I think both say no at this point on that deal.

Look at the numbers. He's an elite defensive winger.

Yes, he does have more value than Kotkaniemi. I'd say he has more value than any Flames player except Lindholm and possibly Tkachuk. He makes 2 million bucks and led the team in ES goals. On pace for 25 goals this season with almost no PP time. The only Habs player who outproduced him was Toffoli. Mangiapane is massively underrated. That will change soon though.
