Any chance we can change this into an Andrew Hammond Player Discussion on the title? Every time I see this thread bumped to the top because of new posts, I get confused that the Habs made another trade.

No point bothering with thread titles anymore. No one cares. Awaille par là, appears to be the standard.

So what is Hammond going to do for the team as opposed to Monty or Primeau?

Are we trying to make the playoffs with Hammond?

Hammond comes in and wins a few more games, and decreases the chances of a better draft pick, so whats the point though?

Why not just pickup Dell for free on waivers?

Maybe they are looking longer term, scouted him, and decided he can actually play? If Primeau doesn't recover they may need Montembault and Hammond longer term.
