Wow, with all those duckets the Laffs spend, it must be frustrating not having a good team in the last 10 years and more. You'd think that they could hire competent management and draft well.

6th or not, regular season NHL hockey is overpriced. I will never pay over 100$ to see a hockey game, and the tickets that are underneath that are not worth it anyways. So unfortunately, I don't go to Habs games anymore unless I get free tickets.

Isn't it great not to be able to afford to go to games of a team/sport that basically grew up as part of your social fabric so that the nice people of markets where people don't care about hockey are encouraged to go to games?

Lol you're probably one of those who complain in the comments section on Facebook when the Habs page announces the day tickets are coming out.

I think the higher amount of bad seats available brings down the average for the Habs.

Mind you, these are resale prices.

Resale prices and what sample size did they look at. Proportion of lower bowl for resale vs nose bleeds. Did they look at one game only or a seasons worth. Resale prices are largely influenced by who the opponent is. Pens on a saturday night or Panthers on a Tuesday in mid November?

Is it me or does winnipeg seem low ? I though that because their arena was smaller that they were in the top 5 for ticket prices fro the jump.

I'm going to see the Habs in Chicago in December; couldn't believe how expensive tickets were! Good mid-level seats (equivalent to Club Desjardins at the Bell) were over $400 each, including all the 'extras' when you order from a resale site. It took some serious rationalization to justify spending that amount for one frikking hockey game. That's quite a bit more than similar seats at the Bell Centre.

Exactly, if there was 18-19 thousand seats, we would be right there with the Leafs...

closer to the leafs, sure.

right there with the leafs, I dont think so. I dont think anyone under any circumstances is right there with the leafs. EVER.

The jets thing still perplexes me but c'est la vie.
