In seriousness, the issue with Nick #1 is he was the only top center on the team once Monahan went down. It‘s not just the top offensive lines he has to go up against but if opponents have dedicated shut down lines or even 1B level second lines, those are going to be really tough nights.

I do think if Dach continues his trajectory and be a 1C, or a 1B/2C, this would help offload a lot of the pressure from Nick. I get Dach’s been a 2C for us a few weeks and Nick’s been cold but all players go through ups and downs and I’m also convinced he’s a little banged up.

I do think if we pick a center in the top-7, they all can be 1C for us with the top-3 almost being guaranteed if they reach their ceilings.

Caufield’s end of season came after he didn’t get the vote for the ASG. They were waiting for the vote to come down.
