Who is the CMNT playing? and secondly aside from being at BMO is it a big game in terms of standings in their qualification process? haven't had the opportunity to keep up unfortunately

Happy you asked!! Any chance I get to spread the word about the CMNT is awesome!

Yes, massive game to be honest. This is game 6 of the 14 game final qualification round. Right now the team is on 1 win and 4 draws and sits in 4th place. We are playing Panama who are just ahead of us in the standings (8 points to our 7); they did qualify for the last World Cup.

The team is playing well in this window, and is coming off an amzing tie in Mexico (a game they could have easily won) and a somewhat disappointing tie in Jamaica (though a tie on the road is hardly the worst case). So this is the final game until mid -November and a win sets up the team nicely at the (nearly) halfway point with a no worse than 3rd place standing. The next set of games is in November as mentioned, with Costa Rica and Mexico travelling to Edmonton (brrrr).

Should mention, top 3 qualify for the WC, 4th place has to faceoff against another region for the final spot.

The team on the pitch tonight may well be the strongest the nation has ever fielded. Game is on SportsNet 1 & 360 at 7:30pm if you have the option for a 2nd screen (I would never suggest any Leaf fan not watch the Leafs).

Go Canada Go

Go Leafs Go :handclap:
