Yes, I believe the power play is his calling card for us (and we can speculate that's what he's been brought in here for), but I agree with what was suggested earlier, namely that he's been brought in here for more than just the power play.

I think what Ramsay really brings is overall perspective and new thinking, and that's to all facets of the game.

The guy has over 1,000 games coached in the NHL as a head coach, and more games as an assistant. He's won a Selke and has a Stanley Cup ring. The guy knows hockey. Limiting that to just PP input would be a waste of a consultant, in my humble opinion.

Having said that, I can see his fingerprints all over this power play and I think in another dozen games it's really going to start clicking. It's been getting progressively better since the start of the season.

Don't be absurd of course he isn't.
But I doubt he has as much sway as people seem to think he has.
He's with the team what 7-10 days out of thirty.
We need to give this topic some time to mature say 20 games or so.
This should give us a better idea of what kind of impact Ramsay has.

No idea how much sway he's had, all I said is that he does more than comment on the PP.

Google the Pharaoh Ramses mummy. Do it.

Oversaw the building of a Pyramid.
Oversaw the Habs PP.

Which was the harder task?

You weren't kidding ...

Both provided facelifts while needing one themselves. :sarcasm:

I personally think Therrien had too many yes-men as assistants. Having someone like Ramsay, with his wealth of experience, helps him bounce ideas off of.

Therrien works hard but his biggest fault is that he's inflexible. Once he makes a plan he sticks to it to the bitter end. Hopefully Ramsay will be able to coax him from time to time to adapt midway in slumps or even mid-game.

No we weren't. We were routinely outshot and outchanced at 5 on 5. We happened to have a good GA at 5 on 5 because of Price.

I thought I kinda mentioned that?

I'm speaking strictly about results and I did mention UGLY. ;)
