I agree with what you're saying, it's just those players usually aren't the ones we complain about (except maybe Kreider). More appropriate example for our fan base would be Giroux/Lucic.

Actually, a lot of people have criticized Timmins for picking Chipchura over Zajac.

It's not "giving preference" it's letting kids develop in bigger roles in the AHL rather than small roles in the NHL. Not exactly a ground breaking concept but a shock to some on here for some reason...same for guys like Nygren, Pateryn, Beaulieu and Tinordi.

It has been documented that Leblanc's development environment in the ahl was not optimal.

He is a 2009 draft pick. He and Pateryn should be in the NHL by now.

You have to look at the big picture, the draft isn't an exact science...though Chipchura might of been a bad idea from the start, should have maybe aimed a bit higher.

What environment? I don't understand what you mean? Isn't ne on the teame team as Tinordi Pateryn Beaulieu Holland etc?

Not all prospects develop at the same speed, you can't make a statement about time and apply it to all players.
