TSN's scouting report:
"Jacob is a powerful player who asserts with his size and physical ability but also with his skill. He is a strong skater with speed and balance. He plays in all defensive situations and he has excellent feel for how to excel in the various tasks of those situations. Can play any forward position and gives a coach a lot of flexibility to allow him to lend support to different players and combinations. He gets offensive opportunities but may not be a natural scorer. Defensively, he can really disrupt the patterns of the opponent and he is dangerous in the counter attack."

Limited offensive upside, so not thrilled. But I'm alright with it. Would love for him to prove me wrong.

Don't hate the pick, seems Habs building up their 2nd/3rd line with size and grit.

I'm pretty stoked for De La Rose. Many see limited offensive potential, but I think think he'll surprise people. He has very good hands, very good hockey sense and wheels. On top of that, like McCarron, he's a beast along the boards.

Not exactly a fan based on who was still available. But great to have size.

Jacob is a tall, gangly and rangy forward who likes to play it rough. He spent the entire season playing against men in Sweden’s second highest league (48 total games) and it shows. Great power forward potential and plays with a chip on his shoulder.
