Canadiens confirmed Louis Leblanc is cut. Same thing for Robert Mayer and Darren Dietz who played tonight.

To be honest, not surprised at Leblanc. He was fine tonight, but let's be real here, he needs to continue to build on his game in the AHL. It's not like he can't be called up if he's doing well. There's simply no room.

Thought Leblanc played well but after the season he had last year he is going to have to prove himself at the AHL level before he gets considered for the Habs

Leblanc?!? Why? He was stuck with White and Moen tonight. This is more upsetting than it should be. That means that a guy like Patrick Holland and Michael Blunden are being kept around for longer. What about Thrower?

Sucks for Leblanc to be cut, but perhaps they don't see a place for him in the team right now.

Good news is that he can go back to Hamilton with his head held high, and start the season off on a better foot than last year.
