Good news is next year, at the deadline, we will trade him for another waiver pick-up in the same mold who just needs a 'change of scenery' to realize his potential as 'supreme 4th line grinder of the Universe'.

He's faster and fistier than DSP, and you see right away he won't tolerate teammates getting jumped on. I like my old school 4th lines, so Matteau-McCarron-Brown should be a lot of fun to watch.

I don't mind this until DLR is way too good, and has to play
in the NHL. I imagine there are teams with a worse bottom six.

I wanted Habs to try and get Brown several years ago, when he
was a Leaf.

Byron is a clear cut above either. They can't be used in his role.

Brown and Matteau seem like the natural ones to interchange. And
whatever Matteau lacks, it isn't size or toughness.Although, I guess
your point was that they should use both.
