Try him out, if he makes it great. If not back on waivers, probably re-claimed by the Jets. Wouldn't be surprised if the Habs are still looking for a veteran dman.

He has a three year contract. Remember the Habs doing that with someone they thought might be claimed on waivers too, like Jacob De La Rose who was claimed anyway as well.

We need depth on the right side, maybe even one more. Right now, it's David Savard, Wideman, Barron and then a converted LD like Schueneman or Harris. Kovacevic has a bit more pro experience than Harris with about the same pedigree.

Worth a look, can't harm this year.

So why Schuneman AND Bowey aren,t on waivers right now.

I guess they stay ?

If so the 3 young d-men are being sent down tomorrow.

It would mean:

Bowey
Kovacevic
Guhle
Matherson
Savard
Schueneman
Wideman

IR: Edmundson

Who was better so far at the Camp ? Harris or Xhekaj ?
That's not the question, Harris game won't develop that much in the AHL

Xhekaj need to improve some part of his game that will improve in the AHL. His gap coverage and his Dzone coverage need work

Guhle-Savard
Matheson-Wideman
Xhekaj-Kovacevic
Leskinen/Bowey/Schueneman

Allows Barron and Harris to develop more in the AHL, which they both need.

When Edmundson is back we can send Xhekaj down or put one of Leskinen/Bowey/Schueneman/Kovacevic through waivers, depending on who does better in the meantime.

What WinnipegSun has to say about him: However you cut it, it’s a tough loss for the Jets, with Kovacevic seemingly coming into his own and pushing for a roster spot during this season’s training camp. His progression has always been on a steady upward curve.

So why Schuneman AND Bowey aren,t on waivers right now.

I guess they stay ?

Nobody is going to be waived by the Habs until they are back from their trip to the Maritimes.

Zohorna on waivers for the second time this week. So Habs can definitely still opt for better and put Kova back on waivers.
Worst case scenario is Laval keeps getting better.

Our blueline is a bucket of snot, Lord help us this season. PS can he at least fight or is he another soft cupcake who's highlight reel is full of saucer passes and wristers from the point? We have enough of those
