The big Finn is a shutdown type. He won't score much but he is a big RH Center with underrated skills.

Beaulieu should never play another AHL game again. He needs NHL Experience. Now the second PP unit will have a QB on it.

With players like Markov and Subban, you don't need a freagin' second PP unit on the back end.

Beaulieu is not NHL ready yet.

Is a D-Man moving? We already have 7 up, calling up two forwards would have made more sense.

Woah, Nattinen is 6'2", nice!

...

He doesn't ****ing use it, doesn't he?

Technically we have 7 D. Certainly we would be best served as an organization playing Bealieu in games at the expense of Murray or Cube.

PK, Markov, Gorges, Emelin, Tinordi, Beaulieu, Diaz should be the 7 for thr rest of the season IMHO.

Maybe this is a sign by the organization that finally realize we're playing above our level (thanks to Price) and we should really be focusing on development.

Why wait? Not NHL ready? So?

Guys who are not NHL ready play in the NHL all the time. Many of them learn, become better and become NHL ready. Not everybody becomes "NHL ready" by playing against non-NHLers in the AHL. So actually become NHLers by playing in the NHL. Imagine that.

The guy is not dominating in his own league, yet.

Beaulieu on the right... :help:

He made his lines while reading his horoscope.

For what its worth, Chantal has him on the left here:

Chantal Machabee ‏@ChantalMachabee 35m
Voici les défenseurs du #CH demain:
Markov-Emelin;
Gorges-Subban;

And? Maybe sitting next to PK and Markov is what he needs to learn instead of sitting next to career AHLers. If one thing we have are proven NHL (character) vets like Gionta, Plek, Briere etc. who can accelerate player growth.

Besides we're playing somewhat poorly right now. We might lose a few points, but isn't that worth the risk to help develop your top 4 D prospect more quicky? Why are we always playing everything so safe?

I agree Subban and Markov should be playing almost if not the full two minutes on the PP.

I NEVER EVER want to see Boullion there again, Michel Therien drives me nuts!!!!!!!!!!

Calvin De Haan wasn't dominating the AHL either, but he's playing pretty well for the Islanders right now. We've gotta give our high ceiling guys a chance on the big stage.

yeah there clearly just trying to see where they stand with this guy

keeper or loser

this isnt a call up to see if he can make the NHL, this is a call up to see if he stays in the organization next year

Besides his sub-par skating (maybe it's improved) Nattinen always seemed ready-made for a bottom 6 role. His call up makes a ton more sense than bringing up Leblanc simply because there isn't really a spot in the top 6 needed at the moment. I really hope Nattinen shows something interesting tomorrow.

Makes sense but some people just enjoy not taking risks and being a mediocre franchise.

Imagine if we signed Roy as head coach. He's not NHL ready. He's too unpredictable. He's a loose cannon. Yet he's doing a damn good job with a young unproven team.

Teams who don't take risks never win anything.
