What a terrible list. This hurts. Probably should change the question to which one is thr worst.
I'm not a fan of Timmins, but with this many failed picks, one has to wonder if the problem is not so much the drafting part, but the development part.Sergachev by a mile. I like Kotkaniemi but Tkachuk was the player to take.

Timmins hasn't been running the draft since 2013 and somehow still gets all of the criticism because no one has any insight to the rest of our draft team. Not that Timmins should stay, he's been here nearly 20 years and this is one of our weakest areas.
If you want to cry, take a look at ALL the players we drafted since 2008 : Montreal Canadiens Draft History at hockeydb.com
You can count on exactly one hand the useful players.
Ah Leblanc, has it been already 12 years? I remember at the time when "Leblanc" was drafted in Montreal, I knew nothing about him but thought: "wow, that is a real hockey player's name". Unfortunately I think the scouts who suggested him based their decision on that one criteria

I am starting to think by being rushed he will not pan out. No way he should have been in the NHL as a barely 18 year old. Hard to properly develop in a pressure cooker. There is one (1) that's a bonafide top-4 defenceman or top-6 forward. He doesn't play for us and has a bunch of holes in his game.
Maybe Kotkaniemi if he puts it together?
Pathetic.
You know your hockey history well. We are in a Harold Ballard type of era. What are the excuses Marc has served to Molson for this fiasco? Aside from Mathias Brunet, Timmins' valet, who can defend this?
This is like the Leafs of the Ballard era.
Tampa drafts and develops Brayden Point at 79th overall while the Habs draft and develop Brett Lernout at 73rd overall.Would he still develop the same way had he stayed here? I am starting to wonder if we are not bringing the best out of our picks.
