Yeah, imo masalskis was the only reason (with missed shots), without him it could have been 6-2. We had tons of changes but masalkis kept making amazing saves. I would take him to our team any day.


And masalkis had Immonen and Koivu shooting against him in shootout. I wouldnt call that a "goalies goal".

The russians do their stuff after the whistle or some facewashing during games. Preferably with the smallest guys on the team.

Got to admit that today they played rather clean. It's usually dirty when the likes of Jarkko Ruutu are around.

Well the love tappers have more gold medals in WC than any other country in the last 15 years.. And will be another one this year. And i'd rather be known for respectful hockey than dirty.. I honestly wish Czechs would play more rough but they try to lull the teams to sleep and try to find mistakes.. More methodical of hockey. Either way. See you on Wednesday... Got to give some credit lastly for Granlund again. Absolutely great plays tonight again, he made hes linemates tons of changes, but our scoring sucked today badly. Was a big part of both finnish goals also.

Bottom line was Latvia was in the game as i said since the START. They can be as beautiful as they want but they weren't putting this dangerous team away. And im not Finnish LMAO.. Im born and raised in America. Im half Czech and came on here to support Latvia because a win would have us win the divison. It's all in fun and good talking

Well I allready gave Latvians tons of credit for this game. It was totally our own fault that we lost that point, we had our changes but didin't use them well, and then Latvians used their changes better. Also they made us first line play in the corners pretty well, didint give room to the slot and blocked tons of shots. So again, lots of credit to Latvians they battled well and masalkis was exellent.

I was watching the whole game... Again, a Latvia win would give the Czechs the division. So of course I was watching and cheering for Latvia. Im just not going to wear a "mask" on my face and not state the facts.. Instead of saying how beautiful and great these formations and players are, they simply weren't putting that dangerous team away. And almost lost for it. So obviously I watched the game... and not making stuff up. Just the facts. I will critize the Czechs as I did when they played Latvia.. Not make them out to be godless gods... Yeah, well Hossa had many points too, but without good passes he was nobody. Points don't always mean that one is an all-out specialist. I bet Cibulskis wold have handled better than Darzinsh today.
