Shea Weber is almost Douglas Murray kind of slow. Might not matter much against Norway, but it may be a different story against the big guns.

Keith and Doughty looked good. The rest of the defensemen were rather average.

Carter should just sit. Utterly useless on the first line, not that it should sound surprising to anyone.

Price is playing a calm, confident game.

Why does our team look so slow compared to USA...

Kessel, Kane, Parise, Kesler took advantage of their speed and got into the zone WITH the puck.

We just dumped the puck and didn't even forecheck hard.

Changing my prediction to a 5-3 win for Canada...they aren't going to blowout Norway with 9 shots a period.

@BobMcKenzie Russia has had sickly children coughing on Canadian bedsheets during every room cleaning. #FixIsIn

Canada and Norway were tied after the first in Vancouver as well, but shots were 14-4 Canada.. so far today, 9-8 Canada

AS a Pens fan, I was left dumbfounded by the Kunitz selection. If he was on any other NHL team, he would most likely be a third liner at this point in his career.

Oh definitely. But what if we played Finland today? Or if we were in another group and played USA or Russia? This wouldn't be good.

First period for Finland wasn't exactly the best hockey they've played despite the 4-2 score earlier today against Austria. USA or Russia would have been harder, but then again the first two periods for Russia weren't exactly goal contender material against Slovenia.

After the preliminary round you can try to make some conclusions on where teams will end up, but after the first game of the tournament you just can't. Other than the USA was the most ready team of the medal contenders. Russia and it seems Canada started the tournament slow.

Wonder why Tollefsen never got a fair chance in the NHL, he's like a tank out there.

Lol. Tollefsen is barely a top 4 defensman in SHL. He is slow but big. After the second period he will be tired as hell.
