Subban and Duchene scratched for Canada.

<--- Not particularly happy with scratching Subban, but really, with a d-core like that, who truly cares?

Maybe it didn't pan out, but I heard on the Score that Tavares was practicing along side Getz and Perry. Guess it didnt pan out?

No disrespect to Marleau but Tavares/Getz/Perry would be an unreal line

Babcock trying to soothe our feelings (Habs fans) by starting Price when not playing PK. Not working. So mad.

I hope we get a goal.

On the more serious note, our big guys have to step up big time for this not to become a blowout. Thoresen, Zuccarello, Holøs, Tollefsen, Haugen (if he even plays), and Olimb.

By the way, one of our 3rd pairing guys plays in the CHL. Yes, that's the Central Hockey League.

we're leaving a lot of speed as healthy scratches this game but the good thing is they'll both be in for sure against austria.

im wondering who will be benched against austria..looks like MSL for the forwards but if it was up to me it'd be Benn.

On defense looks like Hamhius will be benched in our second game.

Predicting, 10-0 for the big boys.

More like 10-0 for the small boys.

Average male height in Norway: 1.824 - 5' 11.75"
Average male height in Canada: 1.751 - 5' 9"

Heja Norge! Hope that you atleast score on the midgets. ;)

It's 5 20 AM, should I sleep now for 3 hours, or stay up to watch the game and sleep in the early afternoon for 4/5 hours?

Alot of talent on that right side though. Even if he dressed, which righty would he played ahead of on the three pairings? He'd probably end up as a PP specialist only if he gets in, with minimal even strength time.

He'd be on the 2nd pairing if he was a lefty IMO.

It's such a joke that Sharp and Kunits are on the first pp unit. neither of them should even be on the team.

The fact that they are playing Hamuis over Subban is appalling, but it's hockey Canada and Team Canada. It's what they do.

Marty does deserve to play though.

The fact is, you play you're best players available to you, playing dan hamuis does not do that. Who cares who they are playing, You play you're best 13 forwards and you're best seven d-man. If Babcock feels that Hamuis is better then Subban then there is something severely wrong with him, because all of Canada knows who the better hockey player is.

Subban and Duchene are playing next game.

They are just giving everyone a chance so he can see which combination works better.

We just send the average guy. A random collection of rec players really. Gonna be tight though.

How can I watch/listen to this at work? My work has american IP so I can't use CBC or tsn radio and I need to sign up for nbc...

I tried some stream sites but they all blocked...I usually find leaf games no problem just there isn't a great big selection to choose from.

Please help me!

It's Hockey Canada ; not "Hockey Montreal." Babcock doesn't have any prejudices, AFAIK. He's playing with the lineup he thinks will provide him with a win. He's also trying things out on what is considered an easier game in the tournament.

Plenty of hockey left to play. No need to get mad.

Strange comment. I must disagree entirely with that. Kunitz is having a career season and Sharp is on fire.

The only question mark I've had is Hamius, Carter, and Bergeron. Giroux would have been a better choice IMHO, though I know Bergeron is there for his talents on the PK.

The NBC Olympics website had a great feed, though the tokens to be able to watch the stream lasted a mere 30 min.

Picture and video streams were of fantastic quality, though.

Best I could find.

It makes total sense to put your most dynamic defenseman in the press box, 100%! You never go full Crawford.
