Nobody has any expectations of Romania to play attacking football, nor should they. Despite the way they played in the lead up to this tournament, in the qualifiers when the games mattered, they only gave up two goals. Their squad obviously lacks star power so anything other than bus parking would be a surprise.

Anyway, 2-0 to France. Not sure of their status as favorites yet.

Can't freaking wait for the start. Against all odds and reason, I'm predicting a draw.

Maybe because Romania? Honestly the high likelihood of a 0-0 draw is what's tempering my excitement for the start..

Yeah, first they play a very defensive system, second, a draw is sufficient, so there's really no point in attacking. They need the points against Albania.
Doesn't mean that the game will be bad. I expect France to make the play .

Curious to see if Stanciu can give Romania some creative spark. Most of their interesting attacking talents are too young to make an impact at this tourney, but Stanciu should be rearing to make a name for himself.

2-1 France on a late winner.

I feel our D is too bad not to surrender a goal.
Our O is too good not score multiple times against Romania.

3-1 France

Romania will probably start with, or at least I hope so:

Tătăruşanu - Săpunaru, Chiricheş, Grigore, Raţ - Pintilii, Hoban - Popa, N. Stanciu, B. Stancu - Fl. Andone

Possibly Keseru will start against Andone which will drive me really crazy.

Players to watch is Stanciu and Andone!

As much as I hope for points for Romania, I don't think it is going to happen. Romania has a terrible team, I am surprised we even qualified.
