To no surprise FIFA already investigating Suarez incident
"It's a disgrace," the Juventus defender told Sky Sport Italia. "The referee decided this game. If either team should have gone through, then it was us.
"Giving a red card to Marchisio and no red to Suarez decided the game. There was a different treatment for both sides and that decided the game and decided who went through.
"When we had 11 men, they weren't a threat at all and we were in perfect control, but then in the end, [the red card] was decisive.
"But then Suarez gets away with whatever he wants because FIFA want the top players involved. He bit me, and the sign is there. Now [FIFA] have got to have the courage to take action."
A little of both...Colombia was second in South American qualifying just two points behind Argentina (and finished ahead of Chile, Ecuador and Uruguay) so they're definitely the class of this group. Uruguay may play spoiler in the next round though if they have Suarez for the match.
Oh well.... Would've been amusing if they(Greece) held on to the 1-0 lead.
Bet the under on Costa Rica-Greece
Greece is a strange team. I have no idea on that game. Even with how good Costa Rica has played.
First time EVER that Greece is in the round of 16.
And they draw Costa friggin' Rica.
They have a legit shot at getting to the Elite 8 or whatever they call it in the World Cup tournament. Unreal if they can pull another rabbit out of their ass.
Costa Rica will roll them.
Uzbek ref from Mexico-Croatia is doing USA-Germany
Not worried. Our game should not get anywhere near as chippy as this one got, and I just don't think he was wrong with the cards (maybe give Balotelli the red and Marchiso the yellow...either way the same result). He didn't see the bite, and don't want a ref pulling cards for things he didn't see either. Let FIFA deal with that crap on video review.
