I can definitely be here tomorrow...

here is where I could use help. Forget all of the agent ********. In order to start tomorrow I would need to have an updated FA list. That includes NHL, AHL, Europe, and college FA's (within reason of course. I don't need the third string goaltender for a team in Belgium). Simply put, I'm too tired to deal with that tonight. I had a lot going on earlier in the day and I'm exhausted. If someone could get that list done as soon as possible, maybe even breaking it up into parts, then I would have absolutely no problem starting tomorrow. I would just need to finish negotiating with people (there are some teams I haven't gotten the chance to finish talks with, or even start). RFA's would need to be finished. If all of this can get done then we can set a time for tomorrow to begin.

Maybe IslesRock4 could help you with that list? What do you think Islesrock4?

All I can say is, that will be covered. I asked C-Saku Koivu if he had a FA list (I believe he does) and we'd update it accordingly. If he doesn't, there is a Free agent list in the Trade Rumors board.

Then, hlundqvist30 and you should discuss the time when Free agency should start tomorrow.

The hypothetical list is great and all, but unless we can get it soon it's not helpful. Aside from the fact that I need to prepare final exclusive negotiations, alert teams about RFA's, and give everyone enough to be prepared, I personally need time to look over the list, create a "game plan" for each free agent. The more time I have to do it the better the overall game can be.

Then, let's wait for this list.

Anyway, you are the agent. Even if Free agency starts tomorrow, you still have the power to wait to make the decisions.

You can get some offers in tomorrow but wait for Monday to make the decisions, especially for the key UFA.

Well sure, but I'd like it to be a more natural process instead of having 10 offers for every player already.

My goal is to make it realistic. Some guys would realistically sign minutes after the FA period begins (Gomez Drury) while others might take forever (Mats Sundin). I don't want people to not get an FA simply because they weren't online at the time, but at the same time I don't want a whole day for offers to ferment in my PM. It's a delicate issue that needs to be dealt with. You get out of this what you put into this. We could simply just pick a day and that's that, but then you get a crappy game. All I ask is to have a list of the available FA's so I can prepare the hundreds of guys there are.

Sounds good. Just talk with IR4 and when you have an idea of the time it would take you to make the signings realistic, just make the official announcement about the beginning of Free agency in the thread.

The Colorado Avalanche still have many players available, rights to unsigned players (Gaborik, Boynton, etc.), 2010 draft picks, and prospects.

Looking for depth forwards, cheaper defense, and a starting goaltender.

Contact me if you want anything we have to trade, or have something we are looking for, and maybe we can work a deal out

Have you made this post before, I don't think I've seen it. :sarcasm:

:habs

After much consideration, we decided that Jaroslav Halak would only be traded in a deal for a top prospect d-man. We are also ready to add depending of the prospect. If we can't get what we want, we will just keep Halak and make him the backup to Price to start the season. However, we know that he is ready for the next step so if we don't trade him in the offseason, we are confident to be able to trade him at some point of the season to give him the chance to proove himself as a starter elsewhere. We will just not get rid of him. We want similar value or he will stay.

Chris Higgins will likely stay with the team unless we get a 2nd line RW with playmaking skills foir him (same salary range and around the same age). Depending of the player, we are also ready to add.

Finally, the rights to the most coveted d-man on the UFA market, Mike Komisarek, are available for the best 2010 pick possible. The best goon in the NHL, Georges Laraque, is also available for the best 2010 pick possible.

I'll be around for an hour or so. I'm also listening to other offers and I'm not scare to move if it makes sense for my team. To see my actual roster, go at post 8 of the Roster Thread.

PM!

Yeah, hopefully we can put some offers in tomorrow even if they aren't accepted till during the week.

Also who do we contact to sign draft picks?

Can someone that knows about or has seen more of Simon Despres then me, please contact me. I want to figure out how close he is to the NHL. I know that he was one of the higher ranked NA skaters, he is big (which we need on our blue line). That is why he was drafted where he was. I couldn't find much about who close he is to the NHL or anything though.

This is the list we are dealing with right now. There could definitely be an error or two, so let me know if there is one so we can adjust it. That is not every single European, of course. For instance, Jonas Gustavsson is out there for the taking, as is any other realistic European.

Right now I'm going to sent a tentative deadline of 3:00 ET tomorrow to complete any deals for UFA's and RFA's. We would then begin the open FA process around 5:00 ET. How does this sound to everyone?

Trade block for Columbus

Nikita Filatov - Looking for a top center. Ready to package Vermette + to land the center. Could consider moving him for a puck moving D but unlikely.
Kristian Huselius - Looking for a puck moving defenceman (could be involve for a center)
Fredrik Modin - prospect/draft pick
Raffi Torres - prospect/draft pick
Rostislav Klesla - Undecided on the return, could be involve in a package for our needs mention over.

We haven't move at all yet but that is because we feel like we have a good team and we have build something real solid here. Outside of a back up goaltender, we already have a full line up that is very solid.

We are in no pressure what so ever to make moves so we will only in the right deal.

Also the Columbus Blue Jacket refuse to confirm the news that Manny Malhotra will test the market. The word out is that Manny as ''no interest what so ever'' to go back to Columbus and won't even discuss with the team about a new contract. The news was a suprise to many as Manny really made a name for himself in Columbus after being claim off waivers and Columbus gave him a real chance. He became a anchor on the PK and a leader for this up and coming team and future for himself and the Jackets looked good. On the subject, Columbus management simply stated ''no comment''.

I wouldn't. He needs at least another year of seasoning. He should definately be a top 4 someday, maybe even as high as a 2/3...but he wouldn't be ready to make that big of a jump. There's still some polish that needs to be added to his game and junior is the best place for him.

Maybe sign him and bring him to camp, but don't count on him being in your top 6, rushing his development would be bee more harm then good in Simon's case

That is what I expected, either keep in the QMJHL (I think that is where he plays) or bring him to Lake Erie.

I would also like to say that while I did make the deadline for 3:00 PM tomorrow, also realize that for MAJORITY of that time I will not be available. Thus, you would be best off getting any negotiations and/or offers in tonight.

At this point trading for rights is almost irrelevant as well.
