yeah, but who can afford a house in saskatoon?
Literally any couple with full time jobs.

Per Coyotes reporter Craig Morgan, Alex Goligoski has listed the below 8 teams to which he won’t accept a trade:
Buffalo
Calgary
Detroit
Edmonton
Los Angeles
Montreal
Ottawa
Winnipeg
He is a solid top-4 veteran D who can play both sides, PP, PK, and eat up low 20 minutes. He is also signed to a fair price and a contract that expires next summer.
Coyotes likely looking for picks or young assets.
Agreed with all of this. I bet there’s quite a few guys that would love to play in either city, more specifically Toronto.Toronto is actually a pretty great city. Vancouver is a top 5 city on most NHL’ers list. I’d say he didn’t put them on his list because he wouldn’t hate living there.
Definitely more about the media/fans than language barrier.
I was downtown Montreal once and tried to practice my french and the dude at the store looked at me like it was a foreign language.
Where the players would live would be around the other players. Restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters etc would all speak both with their bonjour hi. Most places a person who speaks two languages has a job, in Quebec you get asked for spare change in two languages.
Montreal wouldn't trade for him at this point, so he's safe from going there and could alter his list
I've lived in Van for 8 years. The entire Pacific North West has literally 8 months of rain. Its like not even a spot of blue sky for more than half a year.Vancouver is the nicest City in Canada by far imo.
I live in Montreal and cant speak a lick of french. Been here 14 years now and married a local. Bought a house and have a kid in a french daycare.
No issues here in NDG.
My NTL would include absolute shit holes like Detroit, Florida, Arizona, and St.L.
For hockey reasons I wouldnt want Ottawa, MN, Buf, MTL and Cali.
Calgary and Edm are fine as cities and for hockey.
Yeah the pressure is insane here.Language barrier for MTL? 99.99% of people living there speak english.... I think it's more about media pressure wich is really bad !!!!
It look like he mainly played left side during the playoffs, but I'll take your word for it over the last 2 seasons.Goligoski has played much of the last two seasons on the right-side. He can play either side without it making him less effective.
amazing, edmonton icing 2 out of the last 4 art Ross and hart trophy winners, players still refuse to want to be a part of what's going on up therePer Coyotes reporter Craig Morgan, Alex Goligoski has listed the below 8 teams to which he won’t accept a trade:

He's solid. Makes frustrating boneheaded mistakes with the puck occasionally, like most offensive dmen. He's tied with OEL for money owed the rest of this season at $4M, he's expiring, and probably doesn't fit whatever kind of window the team is trying to build. What's his game like these days?
With the Devils needing top-4 LHD and a 1B goalie, New Jersey could be a one-stop-shop for Arizona's cap dump desires. I'd be cool with working something out involving Goligoski and Raanta.
How is FL or AZ an "Absolute Sh*thole" ? They're both beautiful. 9 months of Tropical beach weather or Desert & mountains. No FL state taxes. I could think of 1,000 worse cities to live in N.A. than Miami...like MTL, brutal winters, socialism/Trudeau, high taxes, some habs fans who know it all, having to re-learn French (a language I've abhorred since HS French classes in the '80's, it's just annoying to speak & much worse to listen to...my 30+ yr. old niece speaks French & she sounds like a frog when doing so).I live in Montreal and cant speak a lick of french. Been here 14 years now and married a local. Bought a house and have a kid in a french daycare.

Yeah, I can see them being on the "hockey reasons" shithole list, but as places to live? That's crazy talk to me.How is FL or AZ an "Absolute Sh*thole" ?
Well, it's Goligoski, so...Seeing that NJ isn’t on a NTC list is the biggest win of the season for us

When people go on vacation, they don't go to Montreal or some frozen tundra, unless they're snow skiing, they go to Florida & similar places, generally speaking. Just sayin...
If I’m trying to get one more contract before I hang them up, Detroit isn’t where I’d play to increase my value.dude is from grand rapids and he vetos detroit, lol.
canucks and leafs are the only canadian teams. that's an encouraging sign for the canucks.
Any state north of SC/GA is a tundra when you're a florida resident. I grew up in Long Island, that was more tundra than I care for, so to me, MTL=Siberia, minus the KGB gulag.Yeah, I can see them being on the "hockey reasons" shithole list, but as places to live? That's crazy talk to me.
Montreal is a beautiful city. I wouldn't want to play hockey there, but it's beautiful not a tundra.
Paired with Chychrun a lot.It look like he mainly played left side during the playoffs, but I'll take your word for it over the last 2 seasons.
Smooth and quiet and low key. He’s a quality player and is often AZ’s best all around D. But he’s way too laid back to be a leader. What's his game like these days?

Calgary seems like an odd choice, Winnipeg too and Edmonton
