I would love to see Rattie pull off those sexy toe drags he had in the Memorial Cup.

You guys think rattie is going to see nhl time this upcoming year?

It really depends on training camp IMO. I think it is most likely he will start in the AHL. He could be an injury call up though. Also he could really impress in camp or the preseason and force his way on.

Wow I lost the ability to edit my posts. I think it is a 90% chance Rattie stays in the AHL most of the season.

I agree with this. He's still not strong enough to hold his own on the boards (and heavier too). He needs to learn to play defence in the faster and harder-hitting pro game. He needs to start in The AHL, and maybe get a call-up, late in the season. I'd guess that Jaskin will have an easier time, as he's stronger and heavier, and plays a much more physical game, and plays decent defence, already. But even he, will likely start the season in The AHL.

I personally think that they will both spend the majority of the season in the AHL with the existing forward depth. They will most likely be strictly injury call ups this year.

No one else but Backes gets points. The NHL will set a rule that only David Backes will be able to assist himself in goals.

David Backes 72g 139a

You may be asking, "But Bluesman, I know you said Backes can assist on his own goals but how does he end up with 139 assists and only 72 goals if no one else is getting points."

David Backes, that's how.
And then to spite the NHL he's going to show them what an ACTUAL headshot on Kent Huskins looks like.

Kent Huskins, wherever you are, watch out.

Thanks for the quick Rattie feedback ladies and gents.

Have him in a keeper and just wanted to see how you guys felt with regards to him seeing NHL time. Definitely in no rush to flip the kid though, has tremendous upside. Which I need after having Kovy retire from my team lol. Extra difficult too since its a 30 GM league with 20 man starting rosters lol.

My guess would be Jaskin because he can play on any line due to his size.

I see a lot of people saying this and while I agree that Jaskin has a little better chance of making the team, he has a lot of work to do on his skating.

If anything I think injuries will be the only true deciding factor. Both players seem pretty comparable in readiness. In other words, both need some time in the AHL.

Only one predicton Rattie 26g 29a 55 points ROY

Considering he's unlikely to start the season on the Blues NHL roster, I doubt hell put up those numbers. Although, Im hoping he gets a good look in camp and is given some chances to show his ability at the NHL level this year (and im not just saying that cause I drafted him in my fantasy keeper dynasty league haha)

With less pressure, Backes will get back to scoring 30 with Schwartz breaking out on his line.
