Not a great game for our top players but the depth came up big.

I said before the season started that both Podkolzin and Hoglander saving their careers and re-carving a niche in the organization was near the top of the list of things the team needed this season. Given the gap in the pipeline as a result of getting nothing from the 2020 and 2021 drafts we needed those two to hit while we wait for Lekkerimaki, Willander and the other fruits of the last two drafts. Hoglander is obviously doing that in a big way and Podkolzin was doing the same thing for Abbotsford and getting his mojo back before the unfortunate injury. Hopefully he can get back on the horse and earn himself a callup soon.
