For teams looking to clear salary, we could be ready to part with prospects and picks for a top 6 winger. No untouchable for the right guy.

PM!

I don't see myself signing any UFA defensemen, so I'll take either East or West Defensemen if that can free someone up to take 1/2 the forwards.

I'm figuring out the agents right now. We'll start FA immediately.

EDIT: FA thread is up. Agents are listed there. All RFAs are going to be auto-qualified since it took so long to get RFA agents.

Without the RFA tables being filled out it's a little hard. Maybe the RFA agents could PM a commissioner and let them know the bigger names that didn't sign, and we can have an "offersheet" agent?

95% sure all the bigger West RFAs signed. I'll double check though.

Edit: Cal Clutterbuck has yet to be resigned. However he was recently traded (see post below).

Why would Burns waive his NTC to go back to Minnesota?

waive Tom Gilbert and Josh Harding

:shakehead Try to keep some realism? If you want to trade for a D-man, don't just waive 2 NHL quality players to make it work.

Just a heads up that you cannot put both of them in minors, only one can be sent to the AHL. So unless they are claimed you are responsible for their cap hits (and although I haven't looked, likely over the cap by a fair bit).

No one wanted Harding all game long. He's a great story battling through his MS, but he's not playing that great and with Hackett and Kuemper I have no need for him.

I am not going to buy out Gilbert, but if I can gain 4 million in cap space with someone claiming him I'll take it since he is easily replaceable. Also, trade worked before I waived them. I had 5 million in cap room before, I'd have 10 million if I can get rid of these guys. Hard to see the fault in what I'm trying to do.
