Wow. Tampa just got robbed, ROBBED.

St Louis going anywhere without any 1sts coming back, a top prospect or a Top 6 forward is a JOKE.

Mikael Samuelsson is on the block, will be moved at the deadline or offseason.
Cory Schneider is going to be traded today.

Canucks are also in the market for a #1 D-man.

How the **** did this get approved?

I'm not surprised to see Martin St-Louis decide to waive his NTC to play for the Caps but I'm REALLY suprise to see the Lightning trading their heart and soul player for so little and IN THE SAME DIVISION!

One of the biggest robbery so far this year in these games.

not even a first round pick? Jesus, I think i'd need Fehr, 1st, Alzner/Carlson to move one of the best forwards in the league.

Have just completed a trade to acquire one of the most underrated defenseman in the league. More details to come...

With that being said the Canucks waive Nolan Baumgartener and Brad Lukowich, with the intent to assign them our AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose.

To Vancouver: Stephane Robidas

To Dallas: Cory Schneider, Anton Rodin, Kyle Wellwood, Vancouver's 1st in 2010

The Dallas Stars have traded defenseman Stephane Robidas. Having to make this trade was hard for the Stars, but our uncertain financial future is forcing the GM to make tough decisions. Even though the Texas Rangers have been sold, Liverpool’s failure for Tom Hicks is keeping our budget tight. For that reason, we have to move a great team player to fill our biggest weakness.

Acquiring Cory Schneider will solidify the Stars’ net for many years. Coach Crawford feels that Schneider and Auld can provide solid goaltending for us next year. In addition, Rodin is a great prospect who will fit in with our growing population of Swedes, and Vancouver’s first will go towards restocking our defensive depth.

Confirm. Our team was swinging for the fences with our attempts for #1 D-men, who could of handcuffed us next season with their contract. Stephane Robidas is having a Norris calibre year, can play big minutes and we're ecstatic to have him on the team. Acquiring Robidas gives us one of the best blue-lines in the league and he is on a great contract worth only 3.3M. Losing 3 major pieces in Cory, Anton and our 1st is going to hurt in the future, but we have our eyes set on Lord Stanley's cup and are going to get there this season. We thank Kyle Wellwood for his time with the organization, but he wasn't capably filling our 3rd line C role.

We've also assigned F Alexandre Bolduc to the minors.
