We as a group need to get over the mindset that players will only go to what we perceive as contenders and accept that players will waive for good teams whose addition of said player will make them contenders. We keep seeing the same deals.

In fact, I don’t think that Ottawa will get that much in real life at the TD for Duchene and Stone (of course, we are talking about rentals there).

The Florida Panthers have relieved coach Bob Boughner of his coaching duties after missing the playoffs in his first year and a difficult start to the 2018-19 campaign that places the Panthers last in the competitive Atlantic Division. The team announced former Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville as the 16th head coach in franchise history. Quenneville and the club agreed to a five-year pact which will see him earn five million annually, making him the second highest paid coach in the league.
