Salary Cap

  • CAPFRIENDLY IS RECOMMENDED FOR ALL CAP INFO.
  • The salary cap maximum for the 2016-2017 season is $73M.
  • The salary cap minimum for the 2016-2017 season is $57M.
  • Teams may exceed the cap maximum by 10% during the offseason.

  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players by the deadline and at the end of the game.
  • Teams may sign their draft picks to contracts using the ENTRY LEVEL CONTRACT CHART.
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Waivers/Buyouts
  • Post in this thread if you’d like to place a player on waivers.
  • Burying a player in the minors or Europe only eliminates a maximum of $900k of their cap hit. Use the Buyout Calculator.
  • A player will be on waivers for 24 hours.
  • Waiver priority will be based on the NHL standings as of November 6th, 2016 (the start of the game).

[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Trades
  • All trades must be sent to Joel Ward and donut or else they are not valid.
  • Once a trade is agreed upon, send it in BEFORE POSTING, and then you can announce it in the thread. A deal without a NTC or NMC does not have to be approved.
  • If a trade is announced prior to it being sent in, it will be vetoed.
  • ALL MOVES MUST BE SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. The commissioners hold the power to veto any moves we deem to be ridiculous.
  • A trade involving a NTC or NMC must be sent in by BOTH GMs with a reasoning for the player(s) to waive. The trade must be approved by BOTH JW and donut prior to posting. Keep in mind that many NTCs or NMCs will NOT be waived.
  • The commissioners will provide a 5 to 8-team no-trade list for players with an unspecified "limited NTC" upon request.
  • If a trade involving a NTC or NMC is announced before approval, it will be vetoed.
  • If a team does not have enough cap space to complete a trade that has been sent in, the trade will be vetoed.
  • Vetoed deals must be significantly altered in order for them to be accepted.
  • If a player waives his NTC or NMC, the NTC or NMC will still be valid with their new team.
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Agents
[/fieldset]

Shopping James van Riemsdyk for a RHD of similar age or younger.

Tyler Bozak, Milan Michalek (willing to retain salary), Peter Holland, Matt Hunwick, Roman Polak, Jhonas Enroth are all available to contenders for futures.

Josh Leivo, Frank Corrado, and Seth Griffith are all solid young depth pieces, and are available also. Leivo is the only one I am particularly attached to.

In general, we are looking for a top pairing defender and/or top four RHD, and a top 6 forward with a good shot (preferably a center).

Matthews, Nylander, Marner, Rielly, Zaitsev, and Andersen are not going to be moved - everyone else is available to varying degrees.

I'll be looking to rebuild/retool this team. Most of my younger pieces and draft picks will stay put, with the exception of Jake Virtanen. All of my veteran's will be on the block; though Sedin's will most likely stay put.

On the Block
Jannik Hansen (NTC)
Derek Dorsett
Jake Virtanen
Luca Sbisa (will move for draft pick)
Ryan Miller (M-NTC; willing to retain)

Untouchables
2017 1st Round Pick
Bo Horvat
Brock Boeser
Olli Juolevi
Thatcher Demko

Looking For
Offensive Young Top 9 Forwards (preferably wingers)
Future #1/2 Defender
2017 1st Round Draft Picks

Got some on-going talks around Edler, Hansen and Virtanen. All of them could potentially be moved in the next 48-hours.

:habs are contending

Looking for a top pairing LHD (or at the very least top 4 LHD), a 2nd line center and maybe an upgrade on the fourth line to play with Mitchell and Danault.

Nathan Beaulieu, every prospect except Sergachev (McCarron and Juulsen would be hard to get), our 2017 1st, our two 2nd and all other picks are on the trade block.

Max Pacioretty, Tomas Plekanec and Alexei Emelin can be discussed.

Only untouchables are Carey Price and Shea Weber. Obviously, Alex Galchenyuk and Brendan Gallagher are very unlikely to be traded but we will listen as long as it makes us better.

PM!

Jacob Trouba remains available but if I don't get what I need in return, I'm prepared to let him sit out the season. Would need either a similarly valued LH'ed d-man or a package including a high potential, young defenseman.

Listening to offers on Bryan Little/Mathieu Perreault.

Drew Stafford and Alex Burmistrov both available for a pick.

Ondrej Pavelec available for cheap if anyone wants him.

Ceci, Lazar, Puempel and most picks/prospects are on the table for a top 4 defenceman and/or top 6 winger.

Am also looking for a cheap bottom 6 winger and 3rd pair LHD.

Carl Soderberg and Seymon Varlamov are on the block for clubs looking for a second line centre and a starting goalie. Looking to add a high quality top nine winger, but open to other ideas as well.

Blake Comeau, John Mitchell, Fedor Tyutin, etc., are on the block for future pieces.

2018 5th

Shea Theodore

After Desajardin and Benning are the verge of ruining the former 6th overall's career, Anaheim decided it would be best to acquire him for a position we are very strong on. Theodore was stuck behind, Lindholm, Fowler, and Larson on the LHS. Now with Ritchie, Jones, and Virtanen at wing, we feel our team will succeed as a a physical 2-way team that can score for the near future. We would like to thank Theodore and wish him the best in Vancouver and we are extremely excited to have Jake within the franchise!

Also, Pleasure doing business with you, Donut

:nucks confirm.

We'd like to thank Jake for all that he's done with the Vancouver franchise and wish him the best of luck with Anaheim. The Canucks would also like to give a big welcome BC native Shea Theodore on joining the franchise. We feel Shea has all the tools to becoming a top-pairing defender for the future.

Drouin will be moved by tonight.

Send me them offers. Ideally offer will contain a top-4 RHD or top-6 RW but open to any offers.

I am now the Jackets GM as well. I will get more specific later on, but as of now my primary focus is adding a #1 center. Ryan Murray, Boone Jenner, among others can be moved to fulfill this goal. I am also willing to listen to offers on David Savard.

Bigger update later tonight, but we're gonna punch out ticket to the dance as we lead the division. Looking to move youth/picks/prospects for roster help now.

I want a Top-4 RHD, a top-6 RW, and a 3rd line center (right handed?). Also looking for a RHD slap shot for the point.

And yeah, I'll reply to my PMs from this past week when I get home. :D

Listening to all offers except on a few untouchables (Zucker, Coyle, Dumba, Suter, Parise). Looking to move Koivu and Pominville for either a cheaper Top 6 F or a few younger pieces. Parise could be made available as well, for the right price. Looking for more depth on the wings, most d-men are available.

We have made a major trade with a Western conference team (two NTC involved).

We are now looking to package Tomas Plekanec and our 2017 1st round pick for an upgrade on C.

PM!
