Hmmm most of those combos make sense (aside from the obvious). Get Weber in there already... plus Baertschi needs to show something here.

stubborn WD letting go of his bromance with Dorsett n Prust?

first time the HVB line showing up?

still feeling cautiously pessimistic about our chances of winning - even if it's the Oilers.

how big a troll would WD be if he switched up the lines before Tmrw game. I would legit laugh my ass off then cry realizing I wouldn't be able see the kids line

I fully agree with the forward lines. Sedins and Vrbata might really rip up the Oilers on the scoreboard. Also excited to release the Virt on the Oilers defence.

Watched McDavid's 'arrival' (2 goals, 1 assist, lots of smiles) to the NHL tonight against Calgary. Curious to see how he will play against the Canucks - he and the Oilers will definitely be feeling pretty good after their win against Calgary. Should be interesting!

You forgot Mark Messier running onto the ice to clobber the Sedins with a steel chair, and taking a ceremonial dump on a Canucks jersey.

Oi.

Should be a barn burner; the Oilers will be riding high after that win tonight, and the Canucks looking to bounce back after their loss. Hopefully the reunion of the Kid Line provides some spark.

My hope is Virtanen rocks McDavid in the first and gets in a scrap with Yakupov or Klefbom   maybe Hall if he's on the ice but don't see RNH

McD has found success against NHL humans, but I doubt he will get anything on our android Chris Tanev.

If anyone needs a big game, it's Baertschi, so hopefully the kid line gets him sparked.

Or you know just some good defensive defense man.

Also been said for 5 years.

The addition of McDavid, IMO, means they will win some games 7-6 that they otherwise would have lost 6-0. He's full value, but the systemic problems of the team won't be fixed overnight. Some of their off season moves have certainly been helpful, regardless of their poor start, though.

This is definitely a game where young, fast players (Virtanen, Horvat, Baertschi, Hutton) should shine. Can't wait.

They'd never do it because it's not how Edmonton rolls but they really should be calling Benning about Tanev and offering anything short of McD to pry him out of our hands. He's exactly the type of player they have never had and so desperately need. But because he's not flashy and doesn't put up points i doubt he's even on their radar.

Unrealistically Optimistic Time with Joe.

Hutton getting his 1st NHL goal in the first, with an incredibly smart pinch.
Edmonton Ties it up. Yakupov on a lucky bounce.
Later on, Vrbata gets his first of the season in a manner similar to this.
Sven gets a hat trick in the 2nd, with very little time between every goal.
In the 3rd, Virtanen gets his first goal.
Hamhuis increases his value with a great point shot.
And Bo Horvat scores with one of his end-to-end rushes.
Miller shuts the door, should be Bachman but whatever.
Sutter gets, not 1, not 2, but 3 assists, all of the primary variety.

8-1 Canucks.
